like real cisgenders we watched Melrose reruns
Now I buy these rainbow ice creams
And realise how overpast we have been
I spent the monday listening to Floral Shoppe
Although I should be looking for a part-time job

This quiet town had no mercy on us
We were the weirdos on the back of the school bus

Remember when we used to mock the girls and the queers
like real cisgenders we were raised to bring tears
But we also feared the jocks and the chicks
I realise now we were both cowards and pricks
We used to celebrate new malls and their fancy baths
Now our town is culturally starving to death

Rumor has it that the park will become a parking lot
